Why no job listings here?

Because fake and stale listings are the plague of job sites, and we refuse to add to it. Live listings belong on the big boards that employers pay to post on — we link you to the real ones and spend our pages on what those boards never teach: how their screening software reads your resume, how to answer the ten questions every interviewer asks, what roles actually pay (from US Bureau of Labor Statistics data), and how to negotiate without bluffing.

Salary data

Salary figures in our guides are national medians published by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (Occupational Employment & Wage Statistics), rounded for readability and labeled with their source year. Pay varies by state, city and experience — treat medians as the middle of the road, not a promise, and always check the current figures for your metro area before negotiating.
